President Thai is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Pasadena. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and comes out quickly. The portions are generous, and everything we’ve tried has been well-prepared, from the curries to the noodle dishes. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome every time you visit. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and a great spot for both casual lunches and dinners. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Thai food in the area, President Thai is definitely worth a visit!

★☆☆☆☆ President Thai Restaurant is one of those places that makes you think you’re about to have a luxury dining experience. The dining room is gorgeous. The decor is upscale, the plating is beautiful, and the portions are surprisingly generous. The food itself tasted very good. To be fair, all of that elegance appears to be included in the bill. Compared with most Thai restaurants, the prices are noticeably higher—probably 20–30% more, sometimes even beyond that. I wouldn’t have minded paying the premium if the service had matched the atmosphere. Unfortunately, it didn’t. The restaurant was busy, and our table seemed to be forgotten more than once. Our final dish took over 30 minutes to arrive. Nobody checked in, nobody explained the delay, and by the end of the meal we were mostly just staring at the empty plates wondering whether the last dish had entered a witness protection program. When the check arrived, reality arrived with it. Three dishes, one coconut drink, plus tip. Just as expected, the bill marched confidently close the $100 mark. Food is always consistently hot, fresh, and delicious!! I missed the 4pm cutoff time for lunch specials; that's worth it. The dinner portions are bigger, of course and a bit more expensive, but great, if you like leftovers. Today, we had the seafood yellow curry, non-fried, the chicken pad thai noodles and president thai bbq beef. All were delicious!! 5 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟highly recommended if you're in the pasadena area.

President Thai has such a great atmosphere — very authentic Thai vibes and a really pleasant place to dine in. The wait for food was a bit long, but honestly, the ambiance made up for it. The papaya salad was absolutely the highlight of the meal — hands down one of the best I’ve had. The pineapple fried rice was also really tasty and comforting. As for the grilled pork, it was just okay. I was expecting pork neck (kho moo yang), so maybe I misunderstood the name. Overall, despite the wait and the one dish that didn’t fully hit, the experience was still amazing. 10/10 — I’d definitely come back.

You know that feeling when you pull up to a restaurant and there’s absolutely no parking, the lot is packed, and the line is spilling out the front door? That was my first impression of President Thai — and honestly, it was a good sign. With so many great reviews, I decided to give them a try, and I’m glad I did. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai, and it did not let me down. Perfect balance of flavor, great portion size, and exactly the kind of dish that reminds you why Thai food is so popular. The wait was worth it. If you’re in the area and don’t mind a busy spot with food that delivers, President Thai is definitely worth checking out.
